Nicholas Postle, CPI

Meet the Owner

Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Nicholas Postle provides a wealth of knowledge in every home inspection. While attending Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton FL, Nicholas began his career in the Self Storage business helping every day people understand the added benefits of secure offsite storage.

Soon after, Nicholas became a commercial and residential property manager responsible for millions of square feet of real estate located across the state of Florida. Property management served as a gateway to understand the condition of multiple property types and how they are best cared for and what it costs to maintain them.

Years later, Nicholas became a successful project manager for a roofing company allowing him to thoroughly understand residential roofing systems and the stringent building codes that must be adhered to. As this opportunity ran it’s course, Nicholas headed to Sag Harbor, New York, where he found himself in Estate Management running the day to day operations in the luxury property management sector. This new responsibility gave Nicholas a rare look into the finer details of luxury real estate and the demanding touch it requires to provide top notch management. The cold however thwarted this new endeavor which lead to Nicholas seamlessly entering the world of home inspections back in sunny Florida where he’s conducted thousands of home inspections.

Nicholas enjoys helping locals and out-of-towners find a home that meets their expectations and feeds their confidence through thorough home inspections. Holding licenses as a Certified Professional Home Inspector, Community Association Manager, Real Estate Sales Associate, All Lines Insurance Adjuster and Remote Drone Pilot, Nicholas provides unparalleled value that far exceeds the traditional home inspector. As the owner/operator of Direct Inspect, Nicholas’ reputation rides on every inspection so you know your getting the attention you deserve.
When Nicholas isn’t inspecting homes, he enjoys volunteering his time helping rescue animals, tasting the wonderful foods on Atlantic Avenue and traveling to Long Island and Colorado where the adventure continues.

What Home Inspection Services We Offer

Home Inspections

If you're planning on buying or selling a home in South Florida, then hiring a home inspector could save you thousands of dollars. A home inspection will help you understand the property you want to buy and the possible defects. For sellers, it can provide insight into your own home to better understand what repairs you should take care of before listing your property for sale. Getting a home inspection before you buy or sell a property can be of tremendous value to you.

Condo Inspections

Condo Inspections include everything within the four walls of the condo unit. Accompanying components such as the HVAC system, windows, doors, roof or various other characteristics may be included depending on the particular condo. The inspector will also keep an eye out for signs of leaks that may be coming from the adjacent units!

Wind Mitigation Reports

A wind mitigation inspection is needed to determine which credits apply to a home/condo/townhome for home owners insurance. During this inspection, a certified home inspector will look for key features and add-ons that reduce the amount of damage your home may suffer in the event of a hurricane or strong windstorm. You will receive this report for your records.

4-Point inspections

A 4 point inspection looks at the four major systems of your home including the Roof, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC. Insurance companies want to know that the property has been well maintained and that these systems are in good working order. Once completed you will receive the 4 Point Inspection report.

Termite Inspection

In South Florida we have two termite swarming seasons and approximately 15 different types of termite species in Palm Beach County. Termites are common and getting a termite inspection is far more cost efficient than waiting for noticeable substantial damage. Termite inspections are often paired with home inspections. Keep in mind, even concrete block homes have wood features such as the roof, attic, window and door frames!

Mold & Air Quality Testing

There are many types of molds floating around in various areas of the average home. South Florida presents us with a tropical, moist climate that makes getting a Mold & Air Quality test a smart choice. Mold affects everyone differently and should be treated immediately if present.

Drone Inspections

Inspecting with a drone has many applications and benefits. Today's drones are highly maneuverable and collect high quality images/ videos in areas that may not be visible or reachable. Our drones are operated by licensed drone pilots approved by the FAA.

Citizens Roof Certification or Roof Condition Form

A Citizens Roof Certification is an independent third party certification that verifies a roofing system's condition and age and is free from leaks. This is not the same as a Wind Mitigation Report.
