Pet Friendly Home Inspection

Direct Inspect LLC is a pet friendly home inspection company that loves your pets almost as much as you do. Nicholas the owner has taken in several rescue animals in need over the years and cherishes every moment with them. Our pets are our family and supply us with unconditional love, companionship, protection and friendship. While we prefer to chat and hang out with your furry family members we also need to conduct the home inspection! Here are several things you can do to protect your pets during a home inspection:

Secure your pets: It is important to secure your pets in a safe and secure area during the inspection. This will help prevent them from accidentally getting out of the house or getting injured during the inspection. You can keep your pets in a separate room, in their crate, or outside in a secure area. Make sure the inspector is aware of your pets and where they will be located during the inspection.

Communicate with the inspector: Let the inspector know that you have pets in the home and inform them of any special instructions or concerns you may have. For example, if your pet is afraid of loud noises, you may want to request that the inspector avoid using any noisy equipment during the inspection.

Remove any hazards:
Make sure any hazards or potential dangers that could harm your pets are removed or secured. For example, if you have chemicals or cleaning products in an area where your pets will be located, make sure they are out of reach.

Provide comfort: If your pet will be alone in a separate room during the inspection, provide them with food, water, and toys to keep them occupied and comfortable. If your pet becomes anxious or stressed during the inspection, consider using calming aids such as pheromone sprays or diffusers. Keeping a TV or radio on can also help distract them.

Inspect the home with your pets: If you prefer to be present during the inspection, you can take your pets outside for a walk or to a nearby park. This will allow the home inspector to inspect the home with your pets in a safe and comfortable environment.

It is important to take the necessary steps to protect your pets during a home inspection to ensure their safety and well-being. By being proactive and communicating with the home inspector, you can help ensure a smooth and stress-free inspection process for both you and your pets.
